Anxiety Can Be A Difficult Problem To Tackle.
THE PROBLEM
It's slippery. While other emotions, such as fear or anger, have an obvious cause, anxiety doesn't. Sometimes it's difficult to figure out what causes anxiety.
It can be frightening. Sometimes, even the thought of looking for the cause of anxiety can be scary! As silly as that may sound, you may even fear that by looking for the cause of anxiety, what we find might be even scarier than the anxiety itself.
It's low grade. Anxiety can burn like a low grade fever. It is always there, even when we are working, sleeping and going about our life. Low-grade anxiety can persist for years.
It's harmful. Anxiety saps your energy, reduces your resourcefulness and undermines your health. All of your organ systems are stressed. Aging is accelerated.
It dims your brilliance. Anxiety makes you unable to function at the top of your game. And you're unable to express your creativity or love fully if you're always feeling anxiety. You can't think as intelligently as you have the capacity to. Your patience is tested. You aren't yourself.
THE SOLUTION
The solution to anxiety involves the use of some skillful techniques. I have a two-step method for conquering anxiety.
Step One - Confront Your Anxiety
To prepare, find some paper and something to write with. Sit down, quiet your thoughts, and tune in to your anxious feelings.
First, Observe the thoughts that are causing you to feel anxious. Are there underlying beliefs fueling these thoughts? These are part of your anxiety cause.
Next, pay attention to your emotions. Give them labels.
Third, notice the physical sensations of anxiety in your body.
List what you observed.
Step Two - Do Emotional Freedom Tapping
This anxiety cure is a simple process of saying a statement, while tapping on one of the EFT tapping points. You can disrupt energy blocks that have allowed the pattern of anxiety to continue to operate in your body and mind by using EFT tapping while feeling anxious.
